making a wool crown

As a birthday gift Electra I decided to make a wreath to wear on his head to give me the 'inspiration has been my friend Neni, when last week he showed me his wedding ring made of flowers, he wanted to wear for her birthday .
But to make things easier, I decided to do it with wool thread.



1.To begin you need wire, scissors and forceps.Take the measure around your head trying.It must be right, neither too large nor too small.


2 & 3.Beading the crown with a layer of fabric to make it softer and more comfortable to wear.

4.Choose a wool colour that you like.


5.Here the handmade wool crown.

Do is better than buying.
One of my favorite things is to make a homemade gift, by hand.
I love think about what suits that person.
For Marco, although I know recently, I decided to make a case that is rolled up, where he can puts pens and pencils with which he draws his cartoons and the comics.
I added a little "M" hand-embroidered.
The result is not perfect, but it's the thought that counts right?

little ritual

One of my favorite moments of the day is when I get home and before go to bed I decided wich film I will see.
I prepare my tea, turn on the light, otherwise I risk falling asleep and I put myself under the covers.
Is like a little ritual.
These are the nights dedicated to Italian cinema and I decided to start with Antonioni.
As the first film I have chosen "La Notte", the casting is amazing: Marcello Mastroianni, Jeanne Moreau and Monica Vitti, my favorite italian actress.

a pendant of friendship

... I made this tiny pendant for Aya's necklace for her departure to new experiences and new life.
A necklace full of love where everyone remembers a piece of them and Aya together, moments that they shared.
A bag of tea to remember all the times that we sat at any hour of the evening and night, in front of a cup of tea to talk about our stories of our adventures, each story is a gift.

"Le ragazze dello swing"

Last night I turned on the television after a long time, and I was captured by the music and costumes from the movie "Le ragazze dello swing".
Slowly discovering that it was the history of the Trio Lescano.
Here a bit of history:
a vocal trio made up of Sandra, Catharina and Judik Leschan originating in a Amsterdam.
Very popular in Italy at the turn of the thirties and forties have been one of the first girl group active in Europe.
The style of the trio was based on refined virtuoso vocal harmonies over swing and jazz.

Not to spend, as usual, my Sunday at home to relax and order house, Daria and I have decided to take a look at the Valeggio flea market , dedicated to the furniture and objects in particular.
I found a small key with which I will make a necklace, but not before it has been cleaned from rust.
Next Sunday "Valeggio veste il Vintage" entirely dedicated to clothing.
